Derek has worked in construction since 1980 and as a H&S Manager and consultant since 1997 working both for building and civil engineering contractors. He has worked for major contractors including Sir Robert McAlpine, as H&S Manager on the Cabot Circus retail development in Bristol and the £100m ‘Cube’ project in Birmingham. CDM Co-ordinator on many retail and residential developments, at present working as the CDM-C for the Stroud Water Canal improvements and provided consultancy services for many varied clients. Also a manual handling trainer and NEBOSH examiner.
