Information
I qualified in 1969. My specialist Town and Country Planning Practice
was established in 1989 drawing from my 20 years’ experience acting as
in house solicitor being responsible for the legal planning work of several
Local Planning Authorities. These were in Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire
and Gloucestershire.
Euphemistically, given this background of experience, it was once suggested
to me that in effect my Practice was akin to a gamekeeper turning poacher!!
We are not sure whether this is a compliment but it does provide a useful
indication of our vast experience of how "the system" works
in reality.
Our wide range of clients includes Local Planning Authorities themselves,
Development Companies, Action Groups and private individuals.
Large or small, we recognise that your planning project or problem is
probably one of the most important and possibly worrying things to you
at its particular time. Therefore, we offer a bespoke service unique
to your requirements.
Our success rate on planning appeals is currently approximately double
that indicated by national statistics.
Sadly we cannot guarantee success every time. However, at the outset of all projects, we will give a balanced and objective indication to the best of our ability as to your likely chances of achieving the result you desire. This will enable you to make that all-important commercial decision as to whether to proceed further after your initial on site consultation entirely without any obligation on your part.
YOUR BESPOKE SERVICE
On Site Consultation
We know that the vital starting point for all successful partnerships
is a "real world" on site meeting without any obligation to
you to proceed further.
Most work is commissioned within Gloucestershire or surrounding counties.
We have also been instructed in relation to planning issues as far away
as London, Winchester, Cheshire, Cornwall, Northamptonshire Devon and
Somerset.
Distance is not a problem but in such circumstances the right is reserved
to make a pre-agreed charge for the initial site visit whether the matter
proceeds or not.
Preliminary Appraisal
At or shortly after the site meeting you will receive a preliminary outline
planning appraisal together with a Fee Quotation and outline advice of
the best way to proceed
Fee Arrangement
As befitting a bespoke service, Fee Arrangements are structured so far
as possible to accommodate your particular requirements and will be clearly
set out in a written Fee Proposal to be agreed at the outset.
THE RANGE OF SERVICES
We provide the following bespoke services and advice (either alone or
working with existing teams): -
Setting up and/or heading up (if agreed as necessary) a multi professional
